Ex-Scan UK - MRI Scanning

Bolton Arena

Ex-Scan is hosting a number of educational updates for GP's and Physiotherapists throughout the North West region. Invited speakers are talking about the latest techniques and treatments available.

On the 28th April 2009 we held a educational meeting which covered: "missed problems around the knee" & "non-arthritic problems of the hip". Venue Bolton Arena, speaker Mr A Mohammed, from Wrightington Hospital and Lancashire teaching hospital.

We plan to extend the educational meeting programme due to the success of the first and are planning the second presentation for June/July 2009. Topic to be covered is: "Injuries around the shoulder joint", check web-site for details.

Bolton Arena

A meeting was held at Bolton Arena for local General Practitioners to discuss the role of open MRI in musculoskeletal diagnosis. This was a successful evening with attendees supporting the idea of a One Stop Orthopaedic and Sports Injury Clinic. This would give patients the opportunity to have a thorough consultation with MRI and Ultrasound diagnostics on site for same day examination.

Patients will be seen by a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, have an MRI/Ultrasound examination (if necessary) and the results on the same day.
If you would like further information please contact us on 01204 488211 and we will be more than willing to answer any queries.

BUPA
Bupa has awarded a 3 year contract to Ex-Scan from 2008 to 2011, This means that patients throughout the region will be able to benefit from using an open MRI Scanner which is more pleasant, comfortable and less noisy than the conventional tube used in MRI Scanning
